August 2025 drängende Fragen zur Entwicklung unserer Arbeitswelt im Zuge der digitalen Transformation. Pfeiffer ist Lehrstuhlinhaberin für Soziologie an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg mit dem Schwerpunkt Technik, Arbeit und Gesellschaft. Die bidt-Direktorin beschäftigt sich seit Langem damit, wie der digitale Wandel unsere Art zu arbeiten verändert.
Application deadline: October 22, 2025 (applications are considered on a rolling basis)
Fellowship period: November 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026
Location: We welcome applicants from all countries, provided they are currently based in Washington, DC.
Commitment: The fellowship is part-time and hybrid, offering flexible hours. Fellows should plan to be in the office one to two times per month for meetings and check-ins.

From 1 October 2025, employees of the University of Klagenfurt will be able to collect points with the ummadum app. As part of an EMAS initiative, the University will reward its employees for choosing sustainable mobility – i.e., riding a bike/scooter, public transport, ridesharing or walking – with up to 15 euros per month. To mark the launch of the initiative, there will also be an opportunity to win vouchers as prizes – University employees can take part in the Green Campus Challenge from 1 to 31 October 2025 and win!
