Die Reispflanze wird von einer Reihe verschiedener Krankheitserreger (Pathogenen) befallen. Right-wing protest movements and recent election results show that the current shift to the right can be observed both in rural areas and in cities. The research project "Populism, Democracy, City" (PODESTA) at the Universities of Tübingen and Jena is dedicated to the urban level. It follows the assumption that current successes of the right are to be understood against the background of a crisis of democracy.
Migration is a controversial topic. It is widely discussed by politicians, the media and the public – but also within philosophy. In "Migration and Cosmopolitan Right" Karoline Reinhardt argues that Kant's ideas on the subject stand in a position of "productive disharmony" to the main lines of argumentation in the current philosophical debate on migration. She pays special attention to refugee status, legitimate and illegitimate grounds for refusal, statelessness, naturalization, the right to emigrate, individual duties of assistance and the idea of a "cosmopolitan attitude".
