Tokyo (Kyodo) – Japan's industrial production fell by 1.6 percent in the 2024 financial year compared to the previous year.
The production index in factories and mines at the end of the year that ended March was 101.3 against the 10020 base of 2020, the Ministry of Economics, Trade and Industry said in a provisional report.

Donald Trump has just gone off the stage in Michigan.
Much of his speech repeated what was previously heard this evening – including some of the greatest hits from his election campaign.
It started in a familiar way to the sound of God's sound of Lee Greenwood.
“I miss you. I miss the campaign,” he told the crowd.
Trump then recycled many of his favorite talk, repeated attacks on judges and his predecessors as well as demands on business and immigration.
Here we are at the end of another month in 2025. It is difficult to believe how quickly the time will run in a few months.
It's the same with every day. They jump out of bed in the morning, attack the day, and then the sun starts, 12 to 15 hours away quickly.
Time ever waits for no one. The tick, checkered, tick the watch never stops. Even the entire life of a life is reduced to just a few thousand days.
As someone who spends a lot of time in a cemetery, I understand the quick lifespan – no matter how long it ends. I could preach here, but I won't.

Roland Brockers is Professor of Modular Robotic Systems in the Control of Networked Systems group and a researcher at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory / California Institute of Technology in California.

In light of Indonesia’s election year, Safer Internet Lab conducted two major surveys to examine the state of information governance: a national public opinion survey and a stakeholder perception survey. The findings from both surveys were launched on January 16, 2025, during an event titled “Rilis Survei Nasional: Menyusun Peta Jalan Menghadapi Gangguan Informasi di Era AI Generatif” at the CSIS Auditorium in Central Jakarta.
