Christina Dinar has joined the CIHR as the Deputy Director and will lead research program on youth and social media, including the Democratic Meme Factory project. She will focus on the online expression of young people in the broader context of the digital transformation of the public sphere.
Während der erste Teil eine 20-köpfige Düsseldorfer Gruppe im September 2018 zu Gedenkstätten für NS-Opfer nach Belarus, geführt hatte, brachte nun der zweite Teil des Projektes 14 deutsch-belarussische Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer an verschiedenen Gedenkstätten für NS-Opfer und insbesondere an Erinnerungsorten für die NS-Patientenmorde in Düsseldorf und Umgebung zusammen. Finanziert wurde dieser Projektteil aus Mitteln des Auswärtigen Amtes. Standort der Gruppe war Düsseldorf.

2019 is a special year for the public domain, the out-of-copyright material that everyone is free to enjoy, share, and build upon without restriction. Normally, each year on the 1st of January a selection of works (books, films, artworks, musical scores and more) enter the public domain because their copyright expires – which is most commonly 70 years after the creator’s death depending on where in the world you are. This year, for the first time in more than twenty years, new material entered the public domain in the US, namely all works that were published in the year 1923.
