Universität Würzburg stellt neues Corporate Design vor

Mehr als 20 Jahre lang prägte das bisherige Logo in Klammerform den visuellen Auftritt der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) – jetzt wird es durch ein neues, kreisförmiges Logo ersetzt. Es ist Teil des neuen Corporate Designs, das die Universität nun vorgestellt hat und zu dem auch ein überarbeitetes Universitätssiegel, eine neue Farbwelt, neue Schriften und bald auch ein zeitgemäßer Webauftritt gehören. Gemeinsam sollen diese Elemente für ein modernes Erscheinungsbild der Universität sorgen – sowohl in der visuellen Kommunikation als auch im digitalen Raum.

Neues Semester steht vor der Tür

Exakt 24.796 Studierende sind bis jetzt (Stand 8.10.2026) an der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) für ein Studium eingeschrieben. Zum Vergleich: Im vergangenen Jahr waren es kurz vor Beginn der Vorlesungen 25.295. Hauptgrund für den leichten Rückgang sind die Nachwirkungen des weitgehend fehlenden Abiturjahrgangs 2025 in Bayern.

THE Ranking: JMU weltweit unter den besten zehn Prozent

Die Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) gehört weiterhin zu den leistungsstärksten Universitäten weltweit. Im aktuellen World University Ranking (WUR) von Times Higher Education belegt sie Rang 182 und zählt damit zu den besten zehn Prozent der weltweit gelisteten Universitäten. Im deutschlandweiten Vergleich der Universitäten erreicht sie Rang 15, in Bayern liegt sie auf Rang drei.

Mathis Ebbinghaus takes up Professorship in General Sociology

Two Student Assistant Positions in General Sociology

HANDigiCRAFT explores the social relationships and forms of knowledge that emerge around objects handcrafted by people on the move.
