Published by the European Union on June 26th, the revised directive on open data and the re-use of public sector information – or PSI Directive – set out an updated set of rules relating to public sector documents, publicly funded research data and “high-value” datasets which should be made available for free via application programming interfaces or APIs.
EU member states have until July 2021 to incorporate the directive into law.

El evento, organizado por el PAR Explora RM Norte de la Universidad de Chile, reunió a estudiantes de ocho colegios y tuvo como propósito acercar la ciencia a niños y niñas a través del sol y los eclipses. La actividad, realizada a menos de una semana del eclipse total de sol del próximo 2 de julio, marcó el lanzamiento del tema del año de Explora: "El Sol".El próximo martes 2 de julio ocurrirá el tan esperado eclipse de sol que será visible en todo Chile continental, aunque con intensidades diferentes en cada ciudad.

Am 10. Juli stellen Expertinnen und Experten die Grundsätze und Herangehensweisen bei Forschungsprojekten mit Bürgerbeteiligung sowie im Bereich der „Citizen Science“ vor. Sie erläutern anhand zahlreicher Praxisbeispiele die Bandbreite von Beteiligungsformaten von der gemeinsamen Erarbeitung eines Projektantrags über die Beteiligung bei der Durchführung von Projekten bis hin zur Überführung in die Anwendung.

Zunächst präsentieren die jeweiligen Teams kurz ihre Ideen, danach werden die Sieger prämiert. Den Gewinnern des HHU Ideenwettbewerbs winken attraktive Preise in Höhe von bis zu 800 Euro und dem Gewinnerteam des GFFU Startup Wettbewerbs das von der Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der HHU ausgelobte Startup Stipendium in Höhe von 50.000 Euro für ein Jahr.

Am letzten Donnerstag fand im Keller des ITM das Campuskickern 2019 statt. Studierende aller Fachrichtungen waren eingeladen, dem wilden Treiben rund um die weiße Kugel zu frönen. So spielten Designer gegen Juristen oder auch Musiker gegen Architekten. Für das leibliche Wohl war gesorgt, daneben wurde es dank Wikingerschach, Flunky-Ball und netten Gesprächen niemandem langweilig, der gerade am Kicker-Tisch aussetzen musste.
