Objetivo é avaliar às práticas adotadas por agências reguladoras no BRO “Prêmio FGV Direito Rio – Melhores Práticas em Regulação”, vinculado ao projeto de  pesquisa Regulação em Números, desenvolvido pelo Centro de Pesquisa em Direito e Economia (CPDE) da FGV Direito Rio, tem como objetivo reconhecer e dar destaque às melhores práticas de regulação adotadas por agências reguladoras no Brasil, premiando iniciativas inovadoras em matérias como transparência, governança, participação, gestão e proteção aos direitos dos consumidores ou usuários.

This is a test: Amazon has asked the U.S. Federal Communications Commission for permission to test a new wireless Internet service using the 3.5 MHz spectrum band, Cord Cutters News reports. The test, in Sunnyvale, California, would run from mid-August to mid-February. The test is in addition to Amazon’s plans to launch 3,236 satellites for a new home Internet service.

Un plan de trabajo triestamental y reuniones locales de trabajo son parte de las medidas acordadas para promover el fortalecimiento de la comunidad de dicho campus y la erradicación de la violencia en el mismo. A coalition of digital rights groups have condemned the Indian government and demanded to immediately restore network access in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.  The entire region has been subjected to a total telecommunications blackout. This is the 51st time in 2019 that access to internet, declared a basic human right by the United Nations, has been suspended here. Last year, there were 65 shutdowns, and 176 over the past eight years, including a six-month ban in 2016.

In June of this year, I had the great privilege of traveling to Ulukhaktok, NWT, Canada to talk to community members about the possibility of building a new, local Internet service network. As a result of these meetings, and the incredibly driven individuals I met with in Ulu, this time next year, Ulukhaktok will be the proud owner of the far-most Northern community network in the world.
