La iniciativa, desarrollada por la Unidad de Aprendizaje del Departamento de Pregrado, en conjunto con Educación Online (EOL) de la Universidad de Chile, busca facilitar la transición e inserción a la educación superior de los más de 6 mil estudiantes que ya se matricularon este año en la institución. Las clases virtuales se iniciarán este lunes 16 de marzo en la plataforma digital.El ingreso a la Educación Superior es, sin duda, un proceso que reporta muchas tensiones a los miles de jóvenes que ingresan a la Casa de Bello.

La Pista Atlética Mario Recordón será el escenario de este campeonato. La competencia, organizada en esta oportunidad por Deporte Azul de la Universidad de Chile, se realizará el próximo sábado y pueden participar todos los atletas que pertenezcan en clubes federados. No se realizará cobro por inscripción.El deporte universitario dará inicio a su temporada 2020 con el Torneo Federado que este 14 de marzo realizará la Universidad de Chile en la Pista Atlética Mario Recordón, que se espera reúna a entre 200 y 300 atletas.

La revista científica The Lancet HIV publicó este lunes el caso del "paciente de Londres", un hombre que sería la segunda persona con VIH que, tras recibir un trasplante de médula ósea para tratar un cáncer, se habría reportado libre del virus. Los académicos de la U. de Chile Claudia Cortés y Alejandro Afani aseguran que este avance abre nuevas líneas de investigación y desarrollo para una eventual cura del VIH.

En el Salón de Honor de Casa Central, la comunidad universitaria celebró este martes 10 de marzo el acto oficial de conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer Trabajadora, bajo el lema "Sin nosotras no hay futuro: Por un nuevo Chile con paridad de género". Los avances en igualdad de género que ha consolidado nuestro plantel en estos últimos años, y su compromiso por seguir avanzando en los desafíos que plantea esta materia, así como la discusión sobre los feminismos y la Nueva Constitución, fueron parte de los temas de esta jornada.

En el marco de la multitudinaria marcha del pasado domingo 8 de marzo, uno de los temas más comentados fue la polémica respecto a las disímiles cifras entregadas por Carabineros y las organizadoras de la manifestación respecto al número de asistentes.

Este es uno de los hallazgos del estudio que se presenta en el libro "El Liceo en Tiempos Turbulentos ¿Cómo ha cambiado la educación media chilena?", obra del Centro de Investigación Avanzada en Educación de la Universidad de Chile (CIAE) y LIDERES EDUCATIVOS. La publicación fue presentada ayer en la Casa Central de nuestro plantel.Chile ha logrado una cobertura generalizada de la educación media, pero ésta sigue siendo, en promedio, de baja calidad.
