In der Hochschulmanagement-Software, die die Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf (HHU) und zahlreiche andere Hochschulen nutzen, ist eine gravierende Sicherheitslücke entdeckt worden. Aus Sicherheitsgründen hatte das Zentrum für Informations- und Medientechnologie (ZIM) der HHU das Campus-Management-System „HIS-LSF“ deswegen kurzzeitig am 13. März 2020 außer Betrieb gesetzt. Am gleichen Tag konnte das Problem mit Hilfe des Softwareherstellers behoben und HIS-LSF wieder genutzt werden.

U. de Chile tiene tres de las cuatro carreras más postuladas este 2020

Ingeniería y Ciencias, Derecho y Medicina de la Casa de Bello lideraron las preferencias de los futuros estudiantes de pregrado, junto con la carrera de Medicina en la Universidad de Santiago, otra institución estatal. El interés en la U. de Chile quedó plasmado también en el incremento que registró el promedio de postulaciones efectivas por vacante en el plantel, desde 3,08 en 2019 a 3,22 en 2020. Este año además subió la cantidad de postulantes mujeres seleccionadas desde un 52,7 por ciento a un 53,5 por ciento.

In Facebook groups, coronavirus misinformation thrives despite broader crackdown

Dozens of public and private Facebook groups totaling hundreds of thousands of members have become a haven for conspiracy theories, medical equipment promotion and unproven cures.

“Manipulators will continue to use keyword squatting in private groups to seed health misinformation and scams,” BKC's Joan Donovan said. “The platform is too big for proper moderation, especially when most people posting about coronavirus are seeking information and asking about potential cures.”
