Milica Gašić wurde im Jahr 1983 in Peć in Serbien geboren. Sie studierte Computerwissenschaften und Mathematik an der Universität in Belgrad. Nach ihrem Diplom wechselte sie nach Cambridge, wo sie ihren Master in „Computer Speech, Text and Internet Technology“ ablegte. Nach ihrer Promotion 2011 forschte sie in Cambridge als Postdoc in der Arbeitsgruppe für Dialogsysteme. In der Folge wurde sie 2016 Lecturer für Dialogsysteme, dann Gruppenleiterin.
