SupanzALMOA (Advances in Large-scale, Multilevel, and Hierarchical Optimisation for Challenging Applications) is set to be launched in January 2026. It is the first doctoral network coordinated by the University of Klagenfurt that is funded by the EU through Horizon Europe as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action. Thirteen doctoral students will be conducting research on mathematical optimisation issues at thirteen European universities.

At the Datasphere Initiative, we’ve spent years exploring how sandboxes are designed, run, and evaluated. There’s one question we hear again and again: do they actually make a difference?

Schließlich ist es eine ihrer wesentlichen Aufgaben, neu synthetisierten Proteinen bei der Faltung zu helfen und das Verklumpen fehlgefalteter Proteinketten zu verhindern. Andere Chaperone, sog. „Assembly Chaperone“ kümmern sich darum, im dicht gepackten Zellinneren unterschiedliche Bausteine an einem Ort zu konzentrieren und diese dann geordnet zu großen Proteinkomplexen zusammenzufügen.
