A Hero’s Journey? Ideological Entrepreneurs and Reactionary Digital Politics – Lecture by Alan Finlayson

On Monday June 24, 2024 8pm, Spui25 (Amsterdam) there will be a lecture by Alan Finlayson (University of East Anglia, UK), moderated by Marc Tuters (Mediastudies, UvA).
The lecture will look at how the disruptive affordances and practices of global digital culture relate to political reconfigurations symptomatic of a broader crisis of liberalism. Alan Finlayson will explain what “reactionary digital politics” is, how it is shaped by “ideological entrepreneurs,” and how this is reconfiguring our understanding of what it is to be political.

Demo Day der Digitalisierungskollegs: Innovative Projekte und kreative Lösungen

Am 15. Mai 2024 fand der Demo Day der Digitalisierungskollegs des bidt an der OTH Regensburg statt. Im Rahmen dieser Veranstaltung präsentierten 15 ausgewählte Studierendenteams ihre Projekte. Diese wurden von Studierenden aus den verschiedenen Kolleg-Projekten der 13 vom Bayerischen Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst geförderten Digitalisierungskollegs entwickelt. Koordiniert wurde die Veranstaltung von Dr. Christina Dieckhoff, Forschungskoordinatorin am bidt.

Press Release: Launch of the Civil Society Alliances for Digital Empowerment (CADE) project

The CADE project, an ambitious initiative designed to empower civil society organisations (CSOs) to participate more actively in digital policy processes, was officially launched on 31 May in Geneva. Dementsprechend ist ein niedriger Vitamin-B6-Spiegel bei verschiedenen psychischen Erkrankungen mit zahlreichen Störungen assoziiert – beispielsweise mit einer Beeinträchtigung des Gedächtnisses und des Lernvermögens, aber auch mit depressiven Verstimmungen bis hin zu einer echten Depression. Bei älteren Menschen sind niedrige Vitamin B6-Spiegel mit Gedächtnisverlust und Demenz verbunden.
