still remains unconnected – and globally the Internet faces threats, each with
the power to undermine the core of its existence. Now more than ever we must
ensure the Internet remains open, globally connected, and secure.

The world is counting on it.

“The censored content is dynamic, diverse and distributed...Any approach that doesn't create a seamless and secure browsing experience of the entire web, social media and direct messaging apps will likely have limited success.”

Fellows Advisory Board member Judith Donath on the privilege of working online:

“The next few months are likely to see quarantines and lock-downs throughout the nation and the world,” writes Donath. “For many of us, the innumerable online social spaces will be a lifeline, a source of support, information, and entertainment; a way to check in on vulnerable friends and family, to keep a version of ordinary life going, a source of creative inspiration. What can we do to extend this lifeline to all?”

BKC co-director Terry Fisher put together a must-read collection of resources for transitioning to online teaching, based on his experience teaching CopyrightX and other online courses.

En el Salón de Honor de Casa Central, la comunidad universitaria celebró este martes 10 de marzo el acto oficial de conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer Trabajadora, bajo el lema "Sin nosotras no hay futuro: Por un nuevo Chile con paridad de género". Los avances en igualdad de género que ha consolidado nuestro plantel en estos últimos años, y su compromiso por seguir avanzando en los desafíos que plantea esta materia, así como la discusión sobre los feminismos y la Nueva Constitución, fueron parte de los temas de esta jornada.

En el marco de la multitudinaria marcha del pasado domingo 8 de marzo, uno de los temas más comentados fue la polémica respecto a las disímiles cifras entregadas por Carabineros y las organizadoras de la manifestación respecto al número de asistentes.
