Die Adult Education Academy bringt jedes Jahr im Februar Studierende, Forschende und Fachleute aus der Berufspraxis der Erwachsenenbildung an der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg zusammen. Aktuell halten sich 85 Teilnehmende aus 22 Ländern in Würzburg auf, um über Trends des Lebenslangen Lernens im internationalen Vergleich zu sprechen.

Bemannte Marsmissionen sind zwar ein erklärtes Ziel von Weltraumbehörden wie der NASA oder dem kommerziellen Raumfahrtunternehmen SpaceX, bis es soweit ist, dürften allerdings noch einige Jahre vergehen. In der Zwischenzeit werden solche Einsätze auf der Erde simuliert und erprobt.
An einer solchen Testmission, der Mars-Simulation AMADEE-24, sind auch Studierende des Elitestudiengangs Satellite Technology an der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) beteiligt. Hierfür haben sie zwei Robotersysteme entwickelt, die in drei Experimenten zum Einsatz kommen werden.
