Spätestens seit den 50er Jahren bilden sich dort spezifische lokale Konstellationen heraus, die als Katalysatoren für global wahrgenommene ästhetische Innnovationen fungieren.

Dem Fokus auf MINT-Fächer entsprechend wurden auch in diesem Jahr wieder zahlreiche Schülerarbeiten in den Fächern Biologie, Chemie, Informatik, Mathematik und Physik eingereicht. Eine Experten-Jury der HHU bewertete die Arbeiten nach wissenschaftlichen Kriterien, wobei besonders kreative Themenstellungen sowie ein deutlich erkennbarer praktischer Eigenanteil – zum Beispiel in Form von Experimenten – wichtige Einflussgrößen der Prämierung waren.

“Cultural Commons: (How) do we put it into practice in Medellin?” was a workshop held in Medellin, Colombia on 21 and 22 of June 2018, co-organised by Penny Travlou, a cultural geographer / ethnographer (Edinburgh College of Art/University of Edinburgh) and Platohedro, a local Medellin non-profit organization. The report (below, in English) reviews the two workshop days.
