Last week I had the opportunity to participate in the first edition of the International Internet and Entrepreneurship Forum (FIIE), in Monterrey, Mexico. The event was convened by NIC Mexico and other organizations of the Internet community of Latin America and the Caribbean as part of the activities of INCmty, an entrepreneurial festival with several years of tradition. The intersection between both topics is a fertile ground for reflection, especially in relation to the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

When looking at contemporary cities around the world today, one could easily conclude that they seem increasingly designed to accommodate the requirements and interests of powerful financial actors, over those of the citizens who inhabit them. As these faceless players encroach ever further onto a range of spaces – both physical and intangible – in the urban landscape, while ordinary people seem to be increasingly losing ground in their own neighbourhoods or being pushed out completely, what prospects are there for citizens to resist these dynamics?

Google recently faced a major outage in many parts of the world thanks to a BGP leak. This incident that was caused by a Nigerian ISP – Mainone – occurred on 12 November 2018 between 21.10 and 22.35 UTC, and was identified in tweets from the BGP monitoring service BGPMon, as well as the network monitoring provider Thousand Eyes.

Wolfgang Hoyer wurde im Jahr 1975 in Stuttgart geboren. Er studierte Chemie an der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität in Münster (Diplom 2000) und Wirtschaftswissenschaften ebendort sowie an der Fernuniversität Hagen (Diplom 2003). Er promovierte im Jahr 2004 am Max-Planck-Institut für Biophysikalische Chemie in Göttingen mit einer Arbeit zu molekularen Ursachen der Parkinson-Krankheit.

Die Leitlinie „Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge des Vulvakarzinoms und seiner Vorstufen“ wurde von der Organkommission Vulva/Vagina der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gynäkologische Onkologie (AGO), einer selbständigen Gemeinschaft der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe, unter dem Vorsitz von Prof. Monika Hampl erarbeitet. Sie ist eine Fortschreibung und umfangreiche Aktualisierung der 2008 erstmalig aufgelegten Version zu Vulvakarzinomen. „Die verfügbaren Erkenntnisse zur Diagnostik und Therapie dieser speziellen Krebsart sind begrenzt.
