Für das Programm von hochschulradio düsseldorf hat Tim Neumann das Projekt von Bibliothekar und Anglist Fritz Stieleke aufbereitet. Stieleke erforscht die altenglische Sprache und versucht, Lieder vom Englischen ins Altenglische zu übersetzen – bei „Yesterday“ von den Beatles klappte es. Sein altenglischer Text wurde von der Düsseldorfer Band „Töchter Düsseldorfs“ zum Leben erweckt.

O autor da legislação e aluno da FGV Direito Rio, Armando Essabbá da Silva, foi homenageado pela câmara dos vereadores da cidade do Rio de Janeiro na última sexta-feira, dia 7 de dezembro.

Australia vs. encryption: The Australian Parliament has passed a law that requires tech companies to give law enforcement agencies there access to encrypted communications, the New York Times reports. Several tech companies and privacy groups opposed the law, saying it hurts efforts to protect data from hackers. Fortune, which called the law “draconian,” says it will create headaches for large tech companies.

In May 2015, a coalition of citizen-candidates, Por Cádiz Sí Se Puede (For Cádiz, Yes We Can) and Ganar Cádiz (Win Cádiz) was elected to municipal government, with renewable energy as its platform. One of the new municipal government’s main objectives was to take advantage of local resources – the port and shipyards – to promote an energy transition as a way to rebuild the city’s social and productive life. This strategy is now paying dividends.

Fábio Rodrigues da Silva Filho, Isabella Markendorf Marinho, Paula Strogoff e Maria Luíza Belmiro Gomes terão a oportunidade de participar do curso de formação em Ciências Humanas e Artes com duração de seis semana em Paris.
