For more than two years, the people of Turkey have been unable to access or participate on Wikipedia—what Ege, a high school student in the country, calls the “source of the sources.”

Cooperation has been key to expanding Internet access around the globe. Ten years ago, the African region created AfPIF, a space focused on collaboration about among regional actors on topics related to peering and interconnection. Inspired by that project, in 2014 I approached Bevil Wooding to create a similar space for the Caribbean.

2019 jährt sich zum 100. Mal das formale Ende des deutschen Kolonialismus. Doch de facto war der Kolonialismus 1919 nicht vorbei, auch nicht in Düsseldorf: Die kolonialen Straßennamen in Urdenbach wurden im Nationalsozialismus vergeben, die Ausstellung „Schaffendes Volk“ von 1937 präsentierte eine „Kolonialschau“ und das Kolonialkriegerdenkmal am Frankenplatz wurde 1935 zu einem städtischen Denkmal aufgewertet. Zur selben Zeit lebten außer dem in Düsseldorf bekannten Hilarius Gilges weitere Menschen afrikanischer Herkunft in der Stadt.

In a new survey of Internet users around the globe, social media companies emerged as the leading source of user distrust in the internet — surpassed only by cyber criminals — with 75% of those surveyed who distrust the Internet citing Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms as contributing to their lack of trust.

While cyber criminals, cited by 81% of those who distrust the Internet, remained the leading source of distrust, a majority in all regions (62% globally) indicated that a lack of Internet security was also a critical factor.

Como parte del trabajo que periódicamente realiza la Red de Aseguramiento de la Calidad de las instituciones de Educación Superior del Estado, estos planteles sostuvieron una nueva reunión con el objetivo de evaluar lo realizado el año 2018, y establecer los objetivos y las mesas de trabajo para el período 2019-2020.

El próximo 12 de junio en la Casa Central de la U. de Chile, el Departamento de Evaluación, Medición y Registro Educacional (DEMRE), presentará las propuestas para perfeccionar la Prueba de Selección Universitaria (PSU).

O evento buscou promover respostas aos desafios relacionados à regulamentação de dados pessoais e à governança de cibersegurança, fornecendo insights valiosos sobre as políticas digitais do BRICS, que possam ser usados por pesquisadores, reguladores e empresas.

Das neue Programm reagiert auf eine weiterhin bestehende Einstiegsschwelle für das Studium von Kindern aus Nichtakademikerfamilien: Gemäß des Hochschulreports 2020 des Stifterverbandes nehmen von 100 Grundschülerinnen und -schülern aus solchen Familien später nur 21 ein Studium auf, wohingegen es bei Akademikerfamilien 74 von 100 Kindern sind.
Die am HHU-Programm teilnehmenden Senior-Buddys kommen dabei oft selbst aus Familien, in denen sie die Ersten sind, die ein Studium aufnehmen. Entsprechend teilen sie die Erfahrungen der neuen Studierenden.

Es geht um typische Uni-Situationen, z.B. auf dem Campus, im Hörsaal, in der Bibliothek, etc..Gesucht werden Studierende jeden Alters, jeder Herkunft und jeden Geschlechts. Für maximal 30 Minuten gibt es mindestens 20 Euro. Die Fotoshootings finden ab sofort bis etwa Mitte Juli statt. Für alle Interessierten gilt: Mitmachen und Mitstudierenden Bescheid sagen: Die HHU freut sich auf "neue Gesichter"...Und so geht's:
