Seventy university students from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Kenya, and Ghana gained insights into open Internet standards
Many of the Internet standards that make the Internet work today are developed using open processes. Early exposure to these processes could significantly help future engineers play a role in the evolution of the Internet.

After strict lockdown measures went into place in China, nearly all commercial activity shifted online. E-commerce expanded its reach in the form of rural live-streaming (村播): farmers-turned-online-hosts selling fresh produce and the nostalgia of the countryside to tens of millions of urban consumers glued to their smartphones at home.
The exchange is simple. Using apps like Taobao or JD.com, farmers set up and manage personal profiles and online stores. Users can make purchases while watching and gratification is speedy, with packages at the door within 48 hours.

O webinar abordará os critérios e instrumentos para se apurar o desequilíbrio e, quando for o caso, promover o reequilíbrio econômico-financeiro dos contratos administrativos em tempos de pandemia, tomando por pano de fundo a experiência recente do setor elétrico
Im Juli 2020 wurde über die Anträge der zweiten Ausschreibungsrunde zum Aufbau der „European Universities“ entschieden. Ziel der Initiative ist es, eine neue europäische Generation zusammenzubringen, die in der Lage ist, über Sprachen, Grenzen und Disziplinen hinweg zusammenzuarbeiten, um gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen und Qualifikationsdefiziten zu begegnen. Die HHU ist am Verbundantrag UNIVERSEH („European Space University for Earth and Humanity“) beteiligt. Sie konnte sich damit gemeinsam mit vier Partnerhochschulen durchsetzen.

The Wikimedia Foundation is extremely concerned about the national security law recently passed in China and implemented in Hong Kong that prohibits a broad range of speech and grants wide-ranging surveillance powers to authorities. This law may have serious implications for protection of the privacy of users on Wikipedia and other projects operated by the Foundation, potentially enabling authorities to request personal user data.
