It is with regret that due to recent circumstances within Open Knowledge International, we have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to cancel the planned Open Knowledge Festival 2018.
This announcement has been a very difficult decision for the team at OKI, however with such a short time frame ahead and a lack of secured funding for the Festival, we felt that we could not guarantee a successful event for all our participants.

Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Internisten, Endokrinologen, Nuklearmediziner und Chirurgen sowie an Ärzte für Allgemeinmedizin und Assistenzärzte in der Weiterbildung. Neben einer Einführung in die Schilddrüsen-Sonographie und der Grundlagenforschung beschäftigen sich die einzelnen Vortragsthemenblöcke mit spezifischen Schilddrüsenproblemen, Struma/Kropf und Schilddrüsenknoten, Schilddrüsenfunktionsstörungen und Schilddrüsenkarzinomen. Neben den Plenumvorträgen wird auch ein Sonographie-Kurs angeboten, der das bildgebende Verfahren der Elastographie mit umfasst.

Studierende aus den Bereichen der Informations- und Bibliothekswissenschaft präsentierten innerhalb eines jeweils 20-minütigen Vortrags ihre Forschungsarbeiten, denen intensive Diskussionen folgten. Im Fokus des Workshops standen hierbei sowohl der wissenschaftliche Diskurs als auch Austausch und Vernetzung mit anderen Studierenden.
