In verschiedenen Lernstationen können die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sich informieren und ihr Wissen rund um das Thema Händehygiene erweitern. In einem deutschen Projekt zur Verbesserung der Händehygiene setzt die „Aktion Saubere Hände“ die Vorgaben der Kampagne der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) um. Das UKD engagiert sich hier bereits seit rund 10 Jahren.Händedesinfektion ist InfektionsschutzHändedesinfektion ist Infektionsschutz. Dem Team der UKD-Krankenhaushygiene ist es wichtig, zum Mitmachen zu motivieren.

Als größtes Krankenhaus der Region steht das UKD ganz im Zeichen von internationalen Spitzenleistungen in Krankenversorgung, Forschung und Lehre sowie renommierten Expertenpersönlichkeiten. Jährlich werden in den 28 Kliniken und 32 Instituten mehr als 50.000 Patienten stationär und rund 300.000 Patienten ambulant behandelt.

The world has seen Africa’s digital future advancing by leaps and bounds in the adoption and use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the private and public sectors. What makes this more interesting and promising, is the level of investment and growth of women Engineers in recent years making headlines.

Rund 1.150 unterschiedliche Verbrauchsmaterialien lagern jederzeit im zentralen Warenlager des UKD und werden benötigt, um die rund 8.000 Mitarbeiter sowie die mehr als 50.000 stationären und rund 300.000 ambulanten Patienten jedes Jahr zu versorgen. Über 30 LKW-Ladungen kommen dafür jeden Tag im Lager des wichtigsten medizinischen Zentrums und größtem Anbieter stationärer wie ambulanter Leistungen der Region an. Seit Jahren investiert das UKD in Lösungen für eine effizientere Kundenorientierung. Für ein Mehr an Patientensicherheit werden neue Technologien eingesetzt.

New software tools use artificial intelligence to create realistic-looking but fake videos of real people seeming to say and do things they never did. These so-called "deepfakes" will soon cause a number of problems for the courts, particularly when it comes to authenticating evidence in litigation.
