La sensibilización de la ciudadanía respecto a la importancia de este proceso de retorno a la comunidad, así como la creación de redes y alianzas público-privadas para apoyar la reinserción de los infractores de ley, fueron parte de los puntos claves tratados en la actividad organizada por la Casa de Bello y el Ministerio de Justicia.

We’re always looking for ways to strengthen the open source ecosystem. Over the past two months, the Developer Advocacy team at the Wikimedia Foundation collaborated with two open source initiatives: Mozilla’s Open Source Student Network (OSSN) and TeachingOpenSource.org’s Professors’ Open Source Software Experience  (TOS and POSSE, respectively).

In about a month, some of the key stakeholders in Internet Governance will come together in Paris and talk about the public policy challenges facing the Internet in 2018 and beyond. They will do so at the Internet Governance Forum, a UN-supported platform that will meet for the thirteenth time this year.

True to its location in Festival City – also known as Edmonton, Alberta – the 2018 Indigenous Connectivity Summit’s training day crackled with the energy of community networking advocates from around the world.

Das SelmaMeyerMentoring unterstützt qualifizierte und engagierte Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen dabei, ihre Fähigkeiten und Kompetenzen zu identifizieren, zu entwickeln und diese systematisch in ihre Berufsplanung einzubinden. Das Programm besteht aus drei Modulen (Mentoring-Beziehung, Workshops und Networking Events) und dauert 18 Monate (z.B. vom November 2018 - bis April 2020, und vom Jan. 2019 - bis Juni 2020).

Ab 2018 werden dabei jährlich wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterinnen, Professorinnen und Doktorinnen der HHU eingeladen, um sich über die Einwerbung von Drittmitteln zu informieren. Die Moderation übernahm Dr. Anja Vervoorts, zentrale Gleichstellungsbeauftragte der HHU und Kooperationspartnerin des Projektes.

Im Einzelnen müssen die Krankenhäuser nachweisbar einen hohen Hygienestandard aufweisen, geeignete Aktivitäten zur Vermeidung von Infektionen mit multiresistenten Keimen betreiben, durch Aus- und Fortbildung ihr Personal schulen und durch Information von Patienten und Angehörigen die Patientensicherheit erhöhen.

This enables us not only to be close to our friends and family that may be far away but also to bridge the knowledge gap that we have with the developed world.

Michel Bauwens: Mapping is important to the transition towards a more ecologically-balanced and socially-just commons-centric society, as it brings visibility and conscious awareness to the great diversity of initiatives taking place, and can also be a community-building tool. Here is a recent and very professionally undertaken mapping effort for the Italian commons, undertaken by our friends at LabGov.

The internet and near-costless scaling of digital has allowed the concentration of too much power in too few hands. Our systems for accountability can’t or won’t keep up. By building alternatives, the decentralisation of networks, governance and control are a promising antidote.
