Gracias a la implementación de un software de reconocimiento de sistemas de galaxias relacionadas entre sí a partir de un algoritmo computacional, el equipo liderado por el astrónomo de la U. de Chile e investigador del Centro de Excelencia en Astrofísica y Tecnologías Afines (CATA), Luis Campusano, permitió identificar nuevos cúmulos. El trabajo fue publicado en la revista científica The Astrophysical Journal.Un algoritmo computacional creado por un equipo de astrónomos e ingenieros informáticos mostró que no todos los cúmulos (o enjambres) de galaxias son iguales.

The “Youth Observatory” is a project created by the members of the Youth SIG of the Internet Society, which seeks to build a participative platform which uses different tools in order to bring the knowledge of the governance and the Internet’s principles to the youth, no matter the language, sex, race, religion, building new capacities among them. From the scientific and industrial revolution to the present day, food – an essential element of life – has been progressively transformed into a private, transnational, mono-dimensional commodity of mass consumption for a global market. But over the last decade there has been an increased recognition that this can be challenged and reconceptualized if food is regarded and enacted as a commons.

After almost a decade, the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) remains a cornerstone of international Internet and local governance with participation from over 140 countries. The approach of the IGF is simple: anyone who has a stake in the future of the Internet can go and be heard. It was founded and operates on the principles of being bottom-up, transparent, and inclusive.

New technologies like AI open up a lot of chances but also bear many risks. Couldn’t we just learn how to deal with this from science-fiction films having already played through the major issues of AI? Unfortunately not. Rather than give advice, science-fiction distracts from the currently relevant ethical and legal challenges of AI and the socio-political implications.

We-Guild is a project to develop a platform for self-employed people to get sick-pay. A platform where everyone you trust chips in when you need it in exchange of you chipping in for them when they need it.

Zweifel gehört zu fast jeder getroffenen Entscheidung und kann sowohl quälend als auch ein guter Ratgeber sein, etwas oder vieles anders zu machen. Die HHU möchte Studienzweifler künftig noch besser unterstützen und lädt zu einem BarCamp ein. Teilnehmen kann jeder, der sich für das Thema Zweifel am Studium, den Umgang damit und Unterstützungsangebote interessiert und sich vorab angemeldet hat.

Evento debateu o futuro das relações entre Brasil e ChinaO coordenador do Núcleo de Estudos Brasil-China da FGV Direito Rio, Evandro Menezes, participou como conferencista principal do seminário "The Future of China-Brazil Relations: what role for development in the new government?". O evento, que teve como intuito debater sobre as perspectivas e desafios da relação sino-brasileira com o novo governo de Jair Bolsonaro, foi promovido pelo Fudan Development Institute e o Center for BRICS Studies da Universidade Fudan, em Shanghai.

Evento foi realizado no último dia 12/12No último dia 12 de dezembro foi realizado o I Seminário do Projeto Regulação em Números da FGV Direito Rio. O evento se dividiu em dois painéis, além da abertura realizada pelo diretor da Escola, Sérgio Guerra.
