Any article talking about China’s journey with Artificial Intelligence (AI) has to begin with the board game Go. More specifically, the face-off between Lee Sedol, winner of 18 world titles and widely considered to be the greatest player of the past decade, and Google’s DeepMind-AI-powered Alpha Go. In a now landmark match, Alpha Go didn’t just trounce Lee Sedol 4-1, it displayed uniquely inventive tactical abilities, in a match that was watched by over 200 million people worldwide.

On Open Data Day 2019, groups from around the world organised over 300 events to celebrate, promote and spread the use of open data.

Recently, owners of expensive smart shoes found themselves at loose ends. Unable to pair the shoes to their smart phone app, they couldn’t tighten their self-lacing sneakers. It sounds like science fiction, but this really happened.

Bald nach seiner Habilitation wurde er nach Düsseldorf berufen. In seinen frühen Jahren in Düsseldorf beschäftigte er sich sehr erfolgreich mit der Entwicklung von Fragebögen zur diagnostischen Erfassung von Persönlichkeitseigenschaften.
