On 28 August 2019, an international media law conference took place in the University of Akureyri (Háskólinn á Akureyri) that is one of partner universities of the University of Muenster. Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren from the ITM organized this conference.

Unter der Aufsicht von Professor Dr. Thomas Hoeren trafen sich 20 Doktoranden und Doktoranden aus ganz Deutschland in Gemeindehaus in Canum/Ostfriesland. Herr Hoeren gab eine breite Übersicht über die hermeneutischen Grundlagen des Promovierens, insbesondere bei der Akzentsetzungen von Metatheorien und der Suche nach einem eigenen Vorverständnis des jeweiligen Themas.
