Gespendet werden die Erlöse zugunsten der Kinderklinik des Universitätsklinikums Düsseldorf (UKD). Am Freitag, 18. Mai 2018 fand die offizielle Scheckübergabe statt: Unter Beisein von Fortuna-Legende Wilfreid Woyke, Fortuna Torwart in den Jahren 1966-79 mit 274 Pflichtspielen im Tor.In der Solidaritätsgemeinschaft Düsseldorfer Zahnärzte sind über 100 Düsseldorfer Praxen organisiert. Bereits seit einigen Jahren sammelt der Verein Spenden für verschiedene karitative Zwecke: In diesem Jahr spielt man erstmals gegen die Fortuna/F95-Traditionsmannschaft um den „Schlossmann-Cup“.

Cyber-bullying is a growing phenomenon amongst preteens. Studies have established that nearly 43% of children are victims of cyberbullying and girls are twice as likely to be targeted. Students who experienced cyber attacks suffer drops in school grades and have more suicidal thoughts than those who had never dealt with such forms of peer aggression. A link between cyber harassment victimization and noncompletion of school has been demonstrated resulting in increased risk of poor education and substance abuse in adulthood.

I will be attending the European Artistic Research Network Conference in Dublin on October 18th-19th this year. What follows is my abstract for the conference. You can find more details for the event itself in the second part of this post.

Rootconf is an annual conference on DevOps and IT Infrastructure and is organised by HasGeek. On May 11 and 12, 2018, Gurshabad Grover, Natallia Khaniejo and Aayush Rathi attended Rootconf 2018.
Rootconf 2018 had two major themes - an infrastructure and systems security track and an infrastructure architecture track. All talks at the event were streamed live and videos of the same can be found at HasGeek's YouTube channel here.

Anubha Sinha was a speaker at this conference organized by Martin-Luther-Universitat Halle-Wittenberg, UCL and Fritz Thyssen Stiftung on May 16 and 17, 2018 at Center for Interdisciplinary Area Studies (ZIRS) in Halle, Germany. Anubha Sinha spoke on Property, Control and Copyright.

Rund 300 Mitglieder zählt der Kreis der Freunde aktuell, wie seine Vorsitzende, Dr. Sandra Abend, in ihrer Begrüßung mit Stolz berichtete. Fast die Hälfte von ihnen hatte es sich nicht nehmen lassen, den runden Geburtstag persönlich mitzufeiern. Eine aktive Beteiligung, über die sich nicht jeder Verein freuen kann. Dass der Kreis der Freunde prosperiert, zeigt auch die Entwicklung der Mitgliederzahlen. Allein in den letzten vier Jahren hat sich ihre Zahl mit rund 100 Neueintritten um ein Drittel erhöht.

Foi nesse dia, na década de 1990, que a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) retirou a homossexualidade do rol de doenças psiquiátricas, algo que ainda não foi feito com a transsexualidade, considerada ainda hoje como uma patologia.

Operação foi deflagrada hoje, dia 17/05No dia em que é realizada uma enorme operação contra a pedofilia no Brasil, com 500 mandados de prisão, o Coordenador do Centro de Tecnologia e Sociedade da FGV Direito Rio, Pablo Cerdeira, afirma em entrevista à rádio CBN, que o maior desafio para o combate a esses crimes é a falta de acordos internacionais. O professor explica que isso acontece pela falta de colaboração de outros países, necessária uma vez que a maior parte dos servidores através dos quais conteúdos ilícitos são armazenados ou compartilhados estão fora do território brasileiro.
