New Yorkers face many problems in their daily lives. Whether it’s public health or public transit, residents have many concerns about the place they call home. The question many policymakers face, then, is how to identify the most urgent issues for the public in an open, participatory manner and mobilize the resources needed to solve them.

Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) und maschinelles Lernen sind in aller Munde. An der HHU werden verschiedene Forschungsaspekte am ‚Heine Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science‘ (HeiCAD) und an der damit verbundenen Manchot-Forschungsgruppe ‚Entscheidungsfindung mit Hilfe von Methoden der Künstlichen Intelligenz‘ koordiniert und bearbeitet.

Wiedereinstieg für wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs

Wenn wissenschaftliche Nachwuchskräfte zum Beispiel für die Erziehung von Kindern oder die Pflege von Angehörigen ihren wissenschaftlichen Karriereweg unterbrechen mussten, so bietet ihnen das COMEBACK-Programm die Möglichkeit für einen Wiedereinstieg an der HHU. „Die Unterbrechung des Qualifikationsweges kann eine große Hürde für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs sein“, so Forschungsprorektor Prof. Dr. Peter Westhoff. „Mit COMEBACK greifen wir jungen Forscherinnen und Forschern unter die Arme und geben ihnen die notwendige sichere Basis, um sich qualifizieren zu können.“

Due to concerns associated with the COVID-19 coronavirus, including the possibility of quarantines and other travel restrictions, the Internet Society Board of Trustees has decided to hold its meeting on 13-14 March, 2020, as a virtual meeting instead of a physical meeting in Cancun, Mexico. This board meeting was originally planned to follow the ICANN 67 meeting in Cancun, which was also changed to a virtual meeting.

De acordo com a Defesa Civil estadual, nesta manhã havia cerca de cinco mil desabrigados/desalojados em todo o Estado em decorrência das chuvas.
