O Núcleo de Prática Jurídica (NPJ) da FGV DIREITO RIO enviou ao Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), no dia 20 de abril, sustentação oral em ambiente eletrônico para o julgamento da Ação Direita de Inconstitucionalidade (ADI) nº 4.905. Em 18 de março de 2016, o NPJ protocolou memorial de amicus curiae na ADI nº 4.905, em representação judicial à Associação Comercial do Rio de Janeiro (ACRJ). A ADI discute as multas aplicadas aos contribuintes que tenham os seus pedidos de ressarcimento e/ou compensação indeferidos ou não homologados pelo Fisco Federal.

A Fundação Getulio Vargas, por meio de suas escolas de direito FGV Direito SP e FGV Direito Rio, realiza uma série de webinars para discutir as questões jurídicas relacionadas à pandemia do COVID-19. O objetivo da série Direito e a Crise do Coronavírus - A contribuição do sistema jurídico para o enfrentamento da pandemia e a superação de seus efeitos econômicos e sociais é colaborar com o debate sobre a conjuntura atual marcada pela crise do coronavírus, especialmente do ponto de vista jurídico.

Der „Sonderfonds für die Ärmsten der Stadt“ wird von Sabine Tüllmann, Vorstandsvorsitzende der BürgerStiftung, betreut. „Da es ein Sonderfonds ist, gibt es keine Verwaltungskosten. Das Geld geht zu 100 Prozent an die Bedürftigen“, erklärt sie. „Wir konnten schon einigen helfen, doch wird weitere Unterstützung gebraucht. Das merken wir täglich: Uns erreichen viele Anfragen, wie etwa die nach einem Ersatz für die kostenlosen Mittagessen für Schulkinder. Daran arbeiten wir gerade.“

In covid-19, neoliberal capitalism has met a formidable foe. The pandemic has shown just how fragile and dysfunctional the market/state order — as a production apparatus, ideology, and culture — truly is. Countless market sectors are now more or less collapsing with a highly uncertain future ahead. With a few notable exceptions, government responses to the virus range from ineffectual to self-serving to clownish.

This year's Easter presented us with special challenges regarding COVID-19. We were and are perhaps confronted very directly with illness, death and suffering in our immediate surroundings, or we experienced and still experience rather indirectly, be it through the media and/or through the restrictions of our everyday life, what a pandemic can mean. This raises the question of the manageability, meaning and coherence of what we are experiencing.

Como parte de un amplio esfuerzo internacional en el que participan científicos de más de 50 países, un grupo de investigadores de nuestro país está participando de un estudio que busca verificar si existe relación entre la enfermedad COVID-19 y la pérdida de olfato. La encuesta, traducida a más de 20 idiomas, es impulsada por el Consorcio Global para la Investigación Quimicosensorial, del que forma parte la Dra. Alexia Núñez, de la Facultad de Ciencias de la U.

"¿Quién lo iba a decir?" es el nombre del tema compuesto por Patricia Bisbal, enfermera de la Unidad de Pacientes Críticos del hospital universitario, el cual se ha viralizado en redes sociales, y que trae un mensaje de apoyo y optimismo a las y los trabajadores de la salud y a la sociedad. Esta iniciativa forma parte de la campaña #ChileCuentaConSuUniversidad, la cual busca visibilizar los diferentes frentes de acción de las y los integrantes de la comunidad universitaria frente a la pandemia.

La U. de Chile busca identificar diversos proyectos y acciones de estudiantes, funcionarios y funcionarias, académicos y académicas, y egresados y egresadas, dedicados a aportar, desde distintos frentes, a responder al impacto de la pandemia en nuestro país, desde el rol público del plantel y sus integrantes.

Académicos, funcionarios, estudiantes y egresados de la Universidad de Chile están llamados a esta campaña de recolección de fondos para adquirir equipos -computadores o tablets- que puedan ser prestados a estudiantes con dificultades para participar de las clases a distancia en el contexto de la pandemia mundial.
