Precisely this dream of a radical new beginning was the starting point for an international research project in which Angela Fabris has been collaborating with Norwegian, Dutch, German, British and American literary, historical and media scholars over the past four years. The result is the anthology ‘Lottery Fantasies, Follies, and Controversies’, which will be presented at the Utrecht University Centre for Early Modern Studies on Friday, 6 March.

This month, Gabriela started as a PhD candidate at the Institute for Information Law (IViR). She holds bachelor’s degrees in Law and Philosophy from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a master’s degree in Information Law from the University of Amsterdam. After completing her studies, she worked as a junior researcher at IViR, contributing to projects on (decentralised) platform regulation, disinformation, freedom of expression, and the privacy and data protection implications of digital health initiatives for mobile populations.

In this interview, he explains why large language models stagnate without fresh human input – and how they can nevertheless add real value to software development.

Das können junge Menschen bei den Würzburger Model United Nations (WüMUN) herausfinden. Das Mitmachformat bietet Studierenden und Schülerinnen bzw. Schülern ab der 10. Jahrgangsstufe die Gelegenheit, bei nachgestellten internationalen Verhandlungen aktiv zu werden.

Location: Remote or hybrid. Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Washington, DC area
Commitment: 10-15 hours weekly

Duration: 6 months, with possibility for extension
Compensation: Stipend of $2,000
