Alte Aula, University of Tübingen 23 and 24 January 2019Registration Since February 2016, the consortium of the project "KOPHIS" funded by the BMBF has been researching, under the leadership of the General Secretariat of the German Red Cross, ways to strengthen the contexts of outpatients in need of care and assistance in disaster situations.
Studies estimate that there are more than 7,000 languages spoken around the world. Wikipedia exists in about 300 of them. That’s about 4 percent of some of the world’s languages documenting some of the world’s knowledge.
Eine mechanistische, wissenschaftlich tragfähige Hypothese, die diese epidemiologischen Daten erklären hilft, fehlt bisher. Ein deutsch/spanisches Forschungsprojekt an der Klinik für Kinder-Onkologie, -Hämatologie und Klinische Immunologie des Universitätsklinikums Düsseldorf untersucht nun den Einfluss von sehr niedrig dosierter Strahlung auf die Leukämieentwicklung im gesunden, allerdings mit einer genetischen Leukämieprädisposition vorbelastetem Organismus. Das Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz unterstützt mit mehr als 850.000 Euro die Studie an der Düsseldorfer Klinik.

In den Jahren zwischen 1950 und 1970 gab es in Nordrhein-Westfalen eine rege Bautätigkeit, hierbei wurden auch neue Schulen und Universitäten – sowie die Düsseldorfer Heinrich-Heine-Universität – gebaut. Viele diese Bauten verkörperten im Rheinland ein Zeichen des Fortschritts und avancierten zum Wegweiser für eine bessere Zukunft. Als Erbe der Vergangenheit werden diese architektonischen Phänomene in aktuellen und internationalen Projekten wie #SOSBrutalism und Big Beautiful Buildings wiederentdeckt und erfahren somit eine neue Wertschätzung.
