The 10th Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) co-organized by ADB and UNESCAP with Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry was held on 29 August to 1 September 2020 in Singapore. The Forum focused on how trade facilitation should evolve to enhance the resilience of international supply chains in times of pandemic and to better support sustainable economic recovery and development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Begrüßenswert ist der in der neuen Digitalstrategie formulierte Ansatz, konkrete Ziele auch messbar zu machen. Leider wird dieser Anspruch nur teilweise eingelöst. Positiv ist auch das formulierte Versprechen, das Silodenken in den Ressorts zu überwinden und einen Veränderungsprozess für einen digitalen Kulturwandel anzustoßen.

Geheilt werden kann die Krebserkrankung des Knochenmarks, die jedes Jahr sechs bis acht von 100.000 Einwohnern betrifft, noch nicht. Mit einem besseren Verständnis der Evolution dieser entarteten Knochenmarkzellen könnten aber die Diagnose und Behandlung optimiert werden.
Im ersten Semester an der Uni stehen gerade die Lehramtsstudierenden vor einer kniffligen Aufgabe: Sie müssen ihren Stundenplan zusammenstellen. Das klingt leicht, ist aber gar nicht so einfach.
„Im Lehramtsbereich gibt es sehr viele Wahlmöglichkeiten. Darum werden kaum zwei Lehramtsneulinge einen identischen Stundenplan haben – sogar dann, wenn sie dieselben Fächer studieren“, sagt Henning Schröder von der Zentralen Studienberatung der Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU).
Der Stundenplan als komplexe Aufgabe
Filme, Fotos, Bücher und mehr: Bis zum Jahr 2003 hatte die Menschheit eine Datenmenge von insgesamt einem Exabyte angehäuft. Das entspricht einer Milliarde Gigabyte. Klingt viel, ist aber relativ. Denn es wird geschätzt, dass genau diese Datenmenge – ein Exabyte – aktuell alle 48 Stunden erzeugt wird.
