The Policy Innovation Lab at Stellenbosch University’s School for Data Science and Computational Thinking, in collaboration with Google, has launched Students Think Innovation, a new competition challenging students to turn their ideas and expertise into solutions with real-world impact.

They came together to honor the life, vision, and enduring legacy of Bertrand de La Chapelle following his passing in Paris on August 26. Co-organized by his life partner Ayesha Hassan, the Datasphere Initiative, and the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network, the online gathering provided a warm, open space to hold grief, share laughter, and reflect on a figure whose impact reached every corner of the digital world.

Außerdem hat er bedeutende Beiträge zur supramolekularen Materialchemie geleistet, insbesondere zum Aufbau poröser organischer Festkörper und zu photochromen und emittierenden organischen Materialien.

Metrons and Logons brings together Matthew’s recent series of photographic works with display structures made by eva duerden. The images move between recognisable objects and architecturally processed surfaces, reminding us of objects we used to consider technical, while acknowledging their obsolescence. The longer one looks, the less clear that designation of time becomes.
