We are excited to announced the launch of the DSL HARBINGER LECTURE SERIES. The DSL Harbinger aims to bring leading intellectuals to our community of students and faculty, to lecture on the social implications of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and their role in shaping our political and social future.
 
 
The first DSL Harbinger will be presented on March 12th, 2021 by Dr. Martin Husovec, on the topic “Europe’s Digital Future: Challenges of the Digital Services Act”.

The LegalAIIA 2021 workshop on June 21, 2021, will provide a platform for examining questions surrounding “AI as human augmentation” for legal tasks (a.k.a. Intelligent Assistance or IA), particularly those related to legal practitioners’ interaction with digital information, including e-discovery. The focus of the workshop will be on better understanding the interaction between human and AI capabilities. The primary audience for the workshop will include working attorneys, legal researchers, computer science researchers, and AI providers in the legal industry.

For over one hundred years, International Women’s Day has been commemorated as a day to celebrate and uplift people identifying as women around the world. In 2021, across the fields of technology competitiveness, innovation readiness and global talent (the Portulans Institute’s three focus areas) it is more urgent and important than ever to center, include and integrate women’s voices, perspectives and experiences.

Según este último informe, la ocupación de camas UCI a nivel nacional se mantiene en nivel rojo, con 13 de 16 regiones en porcentajes críticos. Entre los casos más dramáticos están La Araucanía con 97,4%, Coquimbo con 96,2%, la Región Metropolitana 93,7%, y Valparaíso con 93.5%. En tanto, en lo que respecta a la carga de contagios, todas las regiones del país se mantienen en nivel rojo, esto es por sobre 10 casos nuevos por cada 100 mil habitantes.

Tras dos semanas con tendencia a la baja, el número de casos nuevos a nivel nacional vuelve a aumentar de manera significativa.
