Diversos fueron los canales mediante los cuales egresados y egresadas de la U. de Chile, representantes del mundo político, cultural y social, saludaron a la U.

Como parte de una actividad organizada por la Asociación de Estudios Latinoamericanos (LASA), instancia reúne a más de 13 mil miembros que se dedican al estudio de Latinoamérica a través de distintas disciplinas, la autoridad universitaria relevó que "la universidad pública es una forma de servir a los intereses de la sociedad en su conjunto, pero esos conceptos han sido denostados".“Aquí se intenta aplacar a las universidades públicas privilegiando expandir la matrícula de las privadas”.

Encabezados por Rodolfo Saglimbeni, director titular de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile; Mathieu Guilhaumon, director artístico del Ballet Nacional Chileno y Juan Pablo Villarroel, director del Coro y Camerata Vocal de la Universidad de Chile, los cuerpos artísticos del Centro de Extensión Artística y Cultural (CEAC) -incluido Nelson Vinot, fagot solista de la Sinfónica- dieron vida de manera virtual a esta tradicional actividad cultural que forma parte de las actividades de aniversario de la U.

Después de 27 años, la U. de Chile llegó a acuerdo con CHV para recuperar su señal. El canal -público y de impronta experimental, innovadora, educativa y cultural- será sostenible y de bajo costo. La infraestructura de transmisión será facilitada por CHV, y la programación sostenida a través del contenido que la Casa de Bello ya genera actualmente.
