Desde el año 2013, a través de la Dirección de Igualdad de Género, la comunidad universitaria ha venido desarrollando sistemáticamente una serie de medidas y acciones tendientes a fortalecer la institucionalidad en materia de igualdad de género, buscando garantizar la igualdad de derechos y de oportunidades entre hombres y mujeres. A este trabajo se sumó recientemente la "Comisión Igualdad", organismo asesor de la DIGEN de caracter triestamental.
