Today marks the kick off of the countdown for Voices, the European Festival of Journalism and Media Literacy. The event will take place at the Leopolda Station in Florence on 15-16 March 2024 and is a joint initiative of seven European organisations, led by the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) at the European University Institute.
Die repräsentative Online-Befragung des Bayerischen Forschungsinstituts für Digitale Transformation der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften zeigt, dass das Arbeiten im Homeoffice auch nach Ende der Coronapandemie weit verbreitet ist: Fast die Hälfte aller erwerbstätigen Internetnutzerinnen und -nutzer in Deutschland (48 Prozent) arbeitet mindestens gelegentlich von zuhause aus. Die Zahl derjenigen, die mehrmals pro Woche im Homeoffice arbeiten, ist seit Herbst 2022 um 10 Prozentpunkte auf 31 Prozent der Erwerbstätigen gesunken.
Ökosysteme erfüllen eine Reihe lebenswichtiger Aufgaben: Sie speichern Kohlenstoff, reinigen verschmutztes Wasser, bestäuben Pflanzen und so weiter. Wie gut ein Ökosystem diese Aufgaben erfüllen kann, hängt maßgeblich ab von seiner Biodiversität, also der Vielfalt der Pflanzen, Tiere und Mikroorganismen, die in ihm leben. Wie genau es sich mit diesem Zusammenhang verhält, das konnte die Wissenschaft bislang nur auf lokaler Ebene nachvollziehen, zum Beispiel bezogen auf einzelne Waldflächen, Wiesen und Teiche.

Benoit Frydman, juriste et philosophe, est professeur à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) et directeur du Centre Perelman de philosophie du droit. Il est membre de l’Académie royale de Belgique et docteur honoris causa des universités d’Aix-Marseille et de Genève.
