On 15 April, Věra Jourová, European Commission Vice-President for Values and Transparency, visited Greece as part of her Democracy Tour. Das antimikrobielle Potenzial von CRISPR-Cas-Systemen ist vielversprechend. Allerdings ist noch wenig darüber bekannt, wie sich die unterschiedlichen CRISPR-Nukleasen am besten einsetzen lassen. Ein internationales Team unter der Leitung von Forschenden des Helmholtz-Instituts für RNA-basierte Infektionsforschung (HIRI) in Würzburg hat sich dieser Wissenslücke nun angenommen: Am Beispiel von multiresistenten und hypervirulenten Bakterien hat es erstmals systematisch CRISPR-basierte antimikrobielle Wirkstoffe untersucht.

While quantum computing discussions within the Global North often limit their Global South focus to China, India, and Singapore, quantum computing activity is underway in a wide range of countries across the G-77, from Brazil to South Africa.
