Natali Helberger Award
The Natali Helberger Award recognizes doctoral students who have conducted research through interdisciplinary collaboration that advances a Public Interest Technology (PIT) perspective in communication studies, journalism studies, and related fields across the social sciences and law. PIT provides a framework for rethinking the institutions, infrastructures, and technology-embedded services that shape society in pursuit of the public good.

Carinthian Academic Championships – Mixed Volleyball 2026
As usual, the Carinthian Academic Championships in mixed volleyball took place in the Waidmannsdorf sports hall shortly after Epiphany. Under the direction of experienced tournament director Eve SIEBERT-KROISLEITNER, the teams competed for the coveted title. The preliminary round was played in two groups. Afterwards, the respective rankings were decided.
Academic Ski and Winter Adventure Day 2026
On January 12, 2026—just at the right time—the Academic Ski and Winter Adventure Day took place again this year at Goldeck. Fresh snow fell just before the event, setting the stage for a perfect day of winter sports.
Once again, participants had the opportunity to choose between several activities. These included a guided snowshoe hike, a ski tour, free skiing, and free snowboarding. Of course, the legendary ski and snowboard race was also on the program again.
