„Menschen an einem Wendepunkt begleiten“, so schildert Hünten seine Arbeit als Hochschulpfarrer, der nicht nur für die Universität, sondern auch für die anderen Düsseldorfer Hochschulen zuständig war. Auf rund 250 schätzt er die Zahl seiner Gemeindemitglieder, immer ist es klar, dass es nur Mitglieder auf Zeit sind. Das macht die Arbeit spannend und hält jung „jedes Wintersemester haben wir die Gemeinde wieder neu erfunden“, so Hünten. Er hat es stets als Privileg begriffen, mit jungen, denkenden Menschen Gott zu suchen, hat zudem viele Taufen, Hochzeiten gefeiert.
