Do not pass go: The U.S. Federal Trade Commission and attorneys general from 46 states have filed antitrust lawsuits, charging the social media giant Facebook of expanding its monopoly position by acquiring potential rivals including WhatsApp and Instagram, The Hill reports. It’s possible that Facebook would be required to sell off those acquisitions. Facebook has noted that both acquisitions were approved by regulators at the time.

Educación superior fue una de las partidas que generó mayores cuestionamientos. Esto porque el proyecto de ley proponía una reducción de 42 mil millones de pesos para los planteles estatales y privados tradicionales y, a su vez, una disminución de 20% de los recursos destinados a Actividades de Interés Nacional que desarrolla la U. de Chile, con los que se financian diversas proyectos y centros que son un aporte al país.

En la versión 2020 de los premios "Latin American Research Awards"(LARA), que destacaron a 22 proyectos de investigación de frontera de toda la región, los dos equipos galardonados de nuestro país son de la Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas (FCFM), y están conformados por los académicos Felipe Tobar y Gonzalo Navarro, y los investigadores Jouhui Ho y Dustin Cobas.

La egresada de Licenciatura en Ciencias con mención en Astronomía de la Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas (FCFM) de la Universidad de Chile, trabaja en el prestigioso Instituto Max Planck de Radioastronomía en Alemania, donde investiga la formación estrellas en el centro galáctico.

Mediante una misiva, las autoridades del país europeo notificaron a la neurocientífica y académica de la Facultad de Medicina de su distinción "Orden Nacional del Mérito".Diversos proyectos de investigación, encuentros para potenciar la cooperación académica, y la propia biografía de la académica, son las que convergen en el reciente anuncio del gobierno francés mediante el cual reconoció a la profesora Andrea Slachevsky con la distinción "Orden Nacional del Mérito”.
