Last year we established the Internet Society Foundation, with a plan to make clearer the Internet Society’s grant-making activities, and distinguish them from Internet Society programmes. We announced that we would develop the Foundation over the course of the following year.

In Deutschland sind fast 2 Mio. Kinder und Jugendliche übergewichtig oder sogar fettleibig. Weltweit sind im Vorschulalter schon mehr als 43 Mio. Kinder davon betroffen. Für die Entstehung von Übergewicht bei Kindern und Jugendlichen spielen schon sehr frühe Faktoren im Leben eine wichtige Rolle, z.B. in der Schwangerschaft und in den ersten Lebensjahren. Welche Ursachen bei Kindern zu Übergewichtigkeit führen, mit welchen Folgen und wie man seine Familie gemeinsam gesund ernähren kann, zeigt Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Regina Ensenauer in ihrem Vortrag.

Interessierte aus Düsseldorf und Umgebung allen Alters sind eingeladen, Chemie hautnah zu erleben und sich über die faszinierende Welt der Wissenschaft zu informieren. Das Programm reicht von Experimenten zum Anschauen über Vorträge bis hin zu Mitmachaktionen auch für kleine zukünftige Wissenschaftler.

El Premio Nacional de Ciencias Exactas 2015 y académico del Departamento de Astronomía de la Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas (FCFM), continúa su trabajo de divulgación científica, esta vez con la publicación de "El Sol negro", su más reciente libro en donde detalla, desde una perspectiva histórica y científica, el rol de los eclipses en la investigación astronómica y en las sociedades, además de explicar las condiciones que posibilitan este fenómeno que presenciaremos el próximo 2 de julio, y luego, el 14 de diciembre del 2020.
