Junto a mantener el distanciamiento social y la higiene constante de manos, el uso de mascarillas es una de las principales medidas para prevenir nuevos contagios de COVID-19.

"Probablemente algo que nos ha jugado en contra, es que este estallido nos pilla en un momento en que los distintos movimientos sociales y organizaciones estaban a la baja; que ninguno tenía liderazgos potentes", plantea la académica del Centro de Estudios Culturales Latinoamericanos (CECLA) de la Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades, quien analiza el escenario político actual, el remezón irremontable iniciado con el estallido social -marcado por "el hartazgo transversal con los niveles de abuso"-, y las potencialidades emancipatorias abiertas desde entonces.

Government computer systems in Hall County, Georgia, including a voter signature database, were hit by a ransomware attack earlier this fall in the first known ransomware attack on election infrastructure during the 2020 presidential election. Thankfully, county officials reported that the voting process for its citizens was not disrupted.

Mientras los comandos por las opciones de "rechazo" y "apruebo" hacen esfuerzos por captar la atención de los votantes con la franja que se transmite diariamente por televisión, académicos de los Institutos de Comunicación e Imagen (ICEI) y de Asuntos Públicos (INAP) de la Universidad de Chile analizan si las propuestas visuales, contenidos y discursos han logrado atraer a quienes deberán presentarse en las urnas el próximo 25 de octubre.

Esta baja afecta principalmente a mujeres, grupos de edades extremas y regiones con mayor tasa de incidencia y mortalidad por coronavirus. Las y los expertos involucrados en el informe advierten sobre los desafíos para recuperar atenciones, cuya postergación podría aumentar el diagnóstico tardío de cánceres.

El trabajo fue publicado en la última edición de la revista Communications in nonlinear sciences and numerical simulations.
