In diesem J!Cast stellen Marten Tiessen und Nico Gielen die neue Plattformhaftung der EU-Urheberrechtsrichtlinie vor. Die Diskussionen um den berüchtigten Art. 17 der DSM-Richtlinie (ehemals Art. 13) gingen weit über das juristische Fachpublikum hinaus. Insbesondere wegen der Einführung sog. Upload-Filter war die Richtlinie lauten Protesten ausgesetzt. Im Podcast wird aufgezeigt, welche Änderungen tatsächlich entstehen werden und welcher Umsetzungsspielraum dem deutschen Gesetzgeber bleibt.

Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer erforschen, angeleitet von HHU-Biologen und von der Pflanzenillustratorin Katrin Saran, die Natur und ihre Geheimnisse im Botanischen Garten der HHU. Jeder Workshop hat maximal acht Teilnehmer und dauert zwischen 1 ½ und 2 ½ Stunden.

Die Reihe vermittelt Zukunftsthemen, von künstlicher Intelligenz bis hin zu philosophischen Aspekten, kompakt in allgemeinverständlichen Vorträgen für Jedermann. Sie will die Teilnehmer ermutigen, neue Ideen und Kritik zu vorgestellten Zukunftsentwürfen einzubringen. Bei der Veranstaltung können Institute, Professorinnen und Professoren, studentische Teams, Start-Ups und Unternehmen aus der Region Düsseldorf ihre Ideen präsentieren und zur Diskussion stellen. 
Beim ersten Symposium sind folgende Programmpunkte vorgesehen:

Ein Schwerpunkt der Forschungen von Prof. Axmann ist die intelligente, automatisierte und dynamische Steuerung von synthetischen Stoffwechsel- und Signalwegen in Mikroorganismen mit Hilfe von synthetischen Schaltern und Sensoren. Dabei konzentriert sie sich vor allem auf die Entwicklung von Cyanobakterien als zukünftige Plattform für eine nachhaltige Biotechnologie.
