COVID-19 has placed a focus on the “caring professions” of health and aged workers who work on the front lines to save lives. This presents the opportunity for reflection by other professionals – public relations practitioners included – to ask: how do I incorporate caring into my job? What can I contribute to this challenging time? How can I work with a care ethics approach in my practice?

Many developed nations are relaxing the restrictions put in place over the last year, while some emerging markets are still caught in the midst of the Covid crisis. While we see hope and light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, the contours of the world after Covid-19 remain to be decided.

Die Studierenden der Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg zeigen eine hohe Impfbereitschaft: In einer Umfrage der JMU, an der im August über 12.000 von aktuell gut 28.000 Studierenden teilgenommen haben, gaben rund 73 Prozent an, vollständig gegen COVID-19 geimpft zu sein. Weitere 16 Prozent haben eine erste Impfung erhalten. Damit ist die Impfquote der Studierenden höher als in der Gesamtbevölkerung, die laut Robert-Koch-Institut zu rund 60 Prozent vollständig geimpft ist.
