On July 8, the military police in Marib province, which is under the control of the internationally recognized and Gulf-backed government, arrested social media activist Maneh Suleiman. A new analysis of media pluralism in the United Kingdom has been published after the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom was commissioned by the UK’s communications regulator, Ofcom, to examine the current state of media pluralism in the country using the Media Pluralism Monitor (MPM) tool.

Behind it is a park, and the longer I stare, the deeper it becomes embedded in the natural landscape, after a bit I forget it’s there. But in the corner of my eye I can see another one; another totem. This one intimidates me with its red glow.

Bundesweit gewinnt das Nationale Centrum für Tumorerkrankungen (NCT) damit vier neue Standorte – Berlin, SüdWest (Tübingen/Stuttgart-Ulm), WERA (Würzburg mit den Partnern Erlangen, Regensburg und Augsburg) und West (Essen/Köln).

She argues that governments must adopt measures to increase the protection of journalists, especially women.
