Join us this Thursday for an online workshop, led by Professor Philip Leifeld from the University of Manchester. This workshop will introduce software for discourse network analysis, as well as the following:
- Introduction of the software Discourse Network Analyzer (DNA) for text annotation and network export
- Visualisation in the network analysis software visone
- Measurement of coalitions and other structural features in discourse networks

Biography | Philip Leifeld is a Professor in the Department of Social Statistics at the University of Manchester. Philip applies network science and complex social systems to research questions in politics and public policy.
He also develops statistical models for data with complex interdependencies. Since 2007, he has developed the toolbox of discourse networkanalysis, a combination of category-based content analysis and network analysis tooperationalise policy debates. Philip’s work has appeared in leading journals in political scienceand public policy, and he has also published in leading journals in a range of disciplines.
