Dos presentaciones y un conversatorio son las actividades organizadas en tributo a Leonard Bernstein, célebre compositor, pianista y director de orquesta y uno de los grandes referentes de la música del Siglo XX. Los conciertos contarán con la participación del pianista Jon Nakamatsu, quien debuta en Chile, y la dirección del maestro titular de la Sinfónica Nacional, Leonid Grin.El pasado 25 de agosto se cumplieron 100 años del nacimiento de Leonard Bernstein, exponente fundamental de la música docta de Estados Unidos.

Luego del anuncio de la entrega del Premio Nobel de Medicina a James Allison y Tasuku Honjo por sus aportes a esta área de la medicina, el investigador del Instituto Milenio de Inmunología e Inmunoterapia y vicerrector de Investigación y Desarrollo de la U. de Chile, comenta cómo este reconocimiento podría impulsar el trabajo desarrollado a nivel global en la materia, incluyendo el que se realiza en la Casa de Bello.

Para enfrentar la demanda interpuesta por Bolivia en contra de Chile, nuestro país reunió a un equipo de profesionales de alto nivel, entre los que se incluyeron seis académicos de nuestro plantel -María Teresa Infante, Alberto Van Klaveren, Ximena Fuentes, Claudio Troncoso, Hernán Salinas y Andrés Jana-, además de los egresados Mariana Durney, Carlos Portales y el agente Claudio Grossman.

Jährlich werden in den 28 Kliniken und 32 Instituten mehr als 50.000 Patienten stationär und rund 300.000 Patienten ambulant behandelt.

What makes this more interesting and promising, is the level of investment and growth of women Engineers in recent years making headlines.

Rund 1.150 unterschiedliche Verbrauchsmaterialien lagern jederzeit im zentralen Warenlager des UKD und werden benötigt, um die rund 8.000 Mitarbeiter sowie die mehr als 50.000 stationären und rund 300.000 ambulanten Patienten jedes Jahr zu versorgen. Über 30 LKW-Ladungen kommen dafür jeden Tag im Lager des wichtigsten medizinischen Zentrums und größtem Anbieter stationärer wie ambulanter Leistungen der Region an. Seit Jahren investiert das UKD in Lösungen für eine effizientere Kundenorientierung. Für ein Mehr an Patientensicherheit werden neue Technologien eingesetzt.

New software tools use artificial intelligence to create realistic-looking but fake videos of real people seeming to say and do things they never did. These so-called "deepfakes" will soon cause a number of problems for the courts, particularly when it comes to authenticating evidence in litigation.
