Auf dem Campus wurden im vergangenen Jahr rund 31 GWh Strom genutzt. Dies ist vergleichbar mit dem jährlichen Verbrauch von knapp 8.000 Vierpersonenhalten, also einer Stadt mit 32.000 Bürgerinnen und Bürgern. Ihren Strombedarf wird die Universität ab sofort rein regenerativ decken. Der bezogene Strom stammt zu 100 Prozent aus erneuerbaren Energien wie Wasser- und Windkraft sowie Photovoltaik.
