En los salones de la Casa Central de la Universidad de Chile, los rectores y autoridades de las instituciones agrupadas en la Red de Macrouniversidades públicas de América Latina y el Caribe iniciaron el trabajo de su VIII Asamblea General, que tiene como eje central los temas de identidad, integración, innovación e igualdad.
Académicos, funcionarios y estudiantes de la U. de Chile, incluidos el Rector Ennio Vivaldi, vicerrectores y decanos, participaron este 19 de abril de esta jornada, aplicando el cuestionario en las zonas aledañas a los distintos campus universitarios.
Este jueves 20 de abril, el Rector Ennio Vivaldi enfatizó en el rol que deben cumplir las universidades del Estado como parte constitutiva de éste. "La universidades estatales debemos tener en este contexto un cambio de actitud", dijo Vivaldi. En la oportunidad estuvo también presente la ministra de Educación, Adriana Delpiano, quien aseguró que la gratuidad es una política "sin vuelta atrás". El grupo Los Jaivas estuvo a cargo del número musical de la ceremonia con la que la Casa de Bello inauguró su año académico 2017.
