Talks at National University of Juridical Sciences Today

Arindrajit Basu delivered two lectures at the National University of Juridical Sciences on September 18, 2019.
The first one was part of a symposium being conducted by the soon to be set up Intellectual Property and Technology Law Centre. I spoke on "Conceptualising India's Digital Policy Vision" The other speaker today was  Mr. Supratim Chakraborty (Partner, Khaitan&Co.) Gentherapie - Symposium des Biologisch-Medizinischen Forschungszentrums (BMFZ)

In einer öffentlichen Vorlesung erläutert Prof. Dr. Heiner Fangerau, Institut für Geschichte, Theorie und Ethik der Medizin, welche ethischen Debatten in der Geschichte und Gegenwart mit Fragen der Gentherapie verbunden waren und sind. So diskutiert er die moralischen Debatten um gentherapeutische Verfahren, als diese noch eine Utopie darstellten, und schildert die Chancen und Risiken, die in den 1980er Jahren den Diskurs bestimmten. Er erläutert auch die aktuelle ethische Debatte. Die Vorlesung ist Teil des diesjährigen Internationalen Symposiums des BMFZ an der HHU.
